Description of the job

The Airbus DS Cyber Defence Center (CDC) associates the Security Operations Center (SOC) and high-skilled security professional services, such as security incident response (CSIRT), risk assessment, security audit and associated consulting services.

The CDC is in charge of supporting our customers all along their Information Risk and Security Management improvement, and addressing the increasing cyber security threat challenge.

A core component of the Customer's incident response capability relies on the ability to conduct forensic examinations, whose outcome is critical to assess the damage done and to move forward with the identification and resolution of the incident. Digital forensics activities include the collection, preservation, documentation, and analysis of evidence from compromised ICT asset(s) to determine changes to the system and to assist in the reconstruction of events leading to the compromise.

Digital Forensics encompasses the set of standards, processes, tools, technology and skilled staff to conduct forensic investigations over corporate electronic and digital assets in order to recover data and gather evidences required to identify and respond to security incidents (answering the 7 Ws: Who did What, HoW, When, Where, from Where and Why).

In this context, Airbus Cybersecurity is seeking a Forensic Analyst (w/m). This position can be located in Elancourt near Paris or Toulouse.

Tasks & accountabilities

  • "Crime scene" handling and triage
  • Acquisition and preservation of evidence
  • Data acquisition and forensics analysis (Network forensics, File System analysis, System analysis, Memory analysis)
  • Finding evidence of actions
  • Reporting and presentation
  • Plan, design and maintain the forensic laboratory
  • Provide expert support to incident handlers and malware analysts
  • Management of Cyber-Threat Information (Indicators Of Compromise)

Required skills

  • Educated to a Master’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent and at least 5 years of professional experience
  • More than 3 year experience in system/computer forensics, network forensics and incident handling
  • The candidate should hold at least 2 valid certifications or be capable of passing certifications among the following ones: GCFE, GCIH, GCFA, GPEN, GNFA, GREM or an equivalent one recognised internationally.
  • Fluent in English, fluency in French is strongly appreciated, another European language is a plus

The position requires travels in and possibly outside of Europe.
