Responsibilities:

A Security Analyst II is responsible for the day-to-day security management of the OnlineGuardian customer. He/she needs to ensure the security posture of the customers and stays on top of recent security threats and developments.

He/she is building an in-depth knowledge of security products and technologies.

His/her main tasks consist of:

  • Monitoring and management of remote customer devices and responding to intrusion and availability alerts in a timely manner.
  • Performing implementation of security measures to the customer’s infrastructure (Service request, security patches, software update).
  • Performing regular checks on managed customer devices.
  • Diagnosing and performing basic maintenance on the MSS back-end, escalating to the system administrator the non trivial problems.
  • Writing and maintaining computer security department policies, procedures and documentations.
  • Answering and logging the phone calls received from the customer.
  • Communicating and sharing information with the whole team.
  • Maintaining local documentation, ticketing, fileserver, mail server and Secure PC devices.

Qualifications:

The person must:

  • Have a strong security mindset and are comfortable with working in *NIX-based environments.
  • Have a good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP).
  • Be capable and willing to acquire in-depth knowledge of network and host security technologies and products (such as firewalls, Network IDS, scanners) and continuously improve these skills.
  • Have good communication skills, both via e-mail and telephone.
  • Follow strict procedures and are disciplined in installation, documentation, event handling and change control.
  • Be willing to work in shifts (morning, evening, night, week-end) in a worldwide 24x7 operational highly secured environment.
  • Be able to speak and write French and English fluently.
  • Be willing to travel abroad once or twice per year for business purposes for a limited amount of time.
